Nuevo Vallarta is a planned residential-resort community located about fifteen minutes north of Puerto Vallarta’s airport. An important travel destination in the area, Nuevo Vallarta has the second largest number of upper-class hotels in Mexico, the majority of which are built along three miles (five km) of white sand beach.
Nuevo Vallarta is home to two of Mexico’s most important marinas. The latest addition, Marina Nuevo Vallarta, is currently under construction. Upon completion, it is expected to have a capacity of 244 vessels. The community’s other marina, the Paradise Village Marina & Yacht Club, has 200 berths and can accommodate boats of up to 240 ft.
Recreational activities abound in Nuevo Vallarta. The beaches are safe for walking, swimming and for catching the incredible sunsets. The hotels and resorts offer activities such as scuba diving, sport fishing, yoga, and gym facilities as well as sophisticated spas where you can enjoy a number of revitalizing treatments. And, when hunger strikes, sample one of the delectable dishes served in one of the many fine restaurants in the area. Whether you’re hankering for traditional Mexican dishes or more exotic Asian or European fare, you’ll find eateries to please the most discerning palate.
Should you be bitten by the golf bug, Nuevo Vallarta lays claim to three world-class 18-hole golf courses to help ease your pain. Flamingos Golf Course was the first golf course built in the greater Puerto Vallarta/Riviera Nayarit area. Amenities include a par-72 championship course with slightly narrow fairways, a 230-yard long practice range and a putting green.
Adjacent to the Vidanta Resort, the Nayar Golf Course was recently redesigned by the world-renowned Nicklaus Design Team. This par-70 course can be particularly challenging due to the constant crosswinds coming off the ocean. Caddies are required.
Vidanta is also home to a brand-new, 18-hole Greg Norman Signature Golf Course which winds along the Ameca River offering wonderful views of the Sierra Madre Mountains from every hole.
Last, but not least, is the El Tigre Golf Course. Part of the Paradise Village beach resort, El Tigre is a par-72 tropical-style course built on relatively flat terrain. Features include a 300-yard driving range, a putting green, and a small zoo where you can see the big cats for which the course was named.
Nuevo Vallarta Real Estate
Nuevo Vallarta options include homes and condominiums along the beach, by the fairways of 3 golf courses and along the canals of the marinas.
Paradise Village controls much of the real estate in Nuevo Vallarta, including the marina in the center of the resort. Surrounding the marina are a number of small condominium and single-family homes. The fairways and water features of the El Tigre Golf Course in Paradise Village are lined with small condominium projects and single-family homes.
