Right on Banderas Bay, two miles south of Puerto Vallarta is the lovely Solamar condo building. Puerto Vallarta’s Old Town is minutes away from Solamar. This cobblestoned area is a popular destination for visitors looking for traditional Mexican culture, interesting local crafts and wonderful restaurants. In Old Town you will find the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Built in the Spanish Colonial style, the beauty of the architecture makes this church worth a visit even if you are not a regular church-goer. On weekends you can come from your cond to the weekend farmer’s market. This wonderful market sells products grown and created by farmers and artisans living within 50 kilometres of Puerto Vallarta. Take some fresh produce back to your accommodation and cook up a gourmet meal in your own fully equipped kitchen.
There are many activities for people in the area with varying degrees of excitement. Between December and March you can take a whale watching tour to see the humpback whales. From Solamar vacation rentals you might even see them from your balcony. For more adrenaline you can soar over the trees on a zipline or fly through the jungle on the ground on an ATV.
After a day in the sun there is nothing like returning to your condo that give you a view of the ocean, spectacular sunsets and the sound of the waves against the shore.
