For something different, try Di Vino Dante on the famed restaurant row, calle Basile Badillo. This is a unique tapas and wine bar. We loved the gastronomic experience of mostly hot and cold tapas plus a handful of salads. Tapas are bites of food on small plates, and here they do them justice. There was wonderful, fresh seafood that ranged from traditionally Spanish-prepared Octopus to fresh tuna. We also loved the jamon serrano in its different preparations and its stuffed mushrooms. There was care taken to ingredients that were prepared to showcase their simplicity and freshness. A wonderful culinary experience that also has an art gallery making this a feast for the eyes and taste buds.
To Do
A favorite activity for everyone living and visiting Puerto Vallarta is going to their famed beaches. Playa Los Muertos is in the Zona Romantica of Puerto Vallarta and a fun place to hang out at in a beach restaurant or under an umbrella. This is a great place to take advantage of the great shopping opportunities with the beach vendors who walk up and down the sand hawking their wares. They offer artisanal goods, food, candy, homemade goods, clothes, and more. While you are on the beach, check out the Malecon. It is mile long beautiful waterfront esplanade. The view is one of a kind offering the most picture-perfect of the bay in the background. While you are walking, you can find vacation mementos for sale, art, and sculptures along this iconic walkway.
