To Start the Evening

First on the list, is our favorite spot to pop in and have a drink. Lobster Paradise Punta de Mita is located at Av. El Anclote #7. They are always a great first stop because of their air-conditioned ambiance where you can sit at the bar or a table with a great ocean view. Besides the bar, they are a restaurant with a full menu. They have energetic staff who are excited to talk to you about their selection of spirits. Ranging from tequilas, mezcals, vodka, and rum they are fully stocked and have a delicious cocktail menu. After enjoying a cocktail or two, the night can begin as the fun ambiance follows you through the streets of Punta de Mita.

Our Favorite Dinner Options

La Rustica Beach Club

For dinner options, there are three favorites of ours. The first is La Rustica Beach Club. Located on the sand above El Anclote beach at Av. El Anclote #222a, this is a fun place to dine with a funky atmosphere. Known for its Mexican-inspired Mediterranean cuisine, everything was delicious from the first bite. Their menu ranges from starters that showcase uber-fresh seafood, to pasta and grilled meats, and more seafood, we could not get enough. The restaurant is deceptively narrow upon walking in and opens into a large room filled with a fun, energetic vibe. From start to finish, you will remember this delicious meal.

Si Sushi

Our next recommendation is Si Sushi. Located at Av. El Anclote #15. This traditional Japanese restaurant is located in the heart of Punta de Mita. Greeting you when you go in, there is cool air conditioning and friendly, attentive wait staff. You can decide to eat at the bar or at one of the many tables they have. Friendly to dietary restrictions, we can not recommend this place enough. Using the freshest seafood possible and Japanese methods to prepare it, you are bound to be delighted. The staff recommended fantastic options and it was some of the freshest, most tasty sushi anyone had eaten in a long time. The chill vibe paired with a light, flavor-packed dinner, will also make this one of your next favorites.

Punta Mercedes Cocina a la Leña

Our last recommendation, also nestled on the sand above El Anclote beach, is Punta Mercedes Cocina a la Leña. Located at Av. El Anclote # 14. When eating here, the best tables are sitting on the sand with a view of the bay that is awe-inspiring. The lasting impresion of a postcard-worthy backdrop, it is hard not to be taken by the beauty of the ocean and sand. Translating their name, a la leña, to over wood fire and they serve up a delicious Mediterranean-inspired menu that has many grilled, unique takes on this elevated cuisine. Our favorites were off the grill: meats, seafood, and veggies with surprisingly delicious sides. By far, we loved the truffle french fries left you wanting more and became our new favorite. Between the good vibes of being located on the beach and its amazing food, this is a deliciously fun spot to stop in.
