For shopping, we recommend going to the beach. At Los Muertos, you can find beach vendors and street vendors selling their wares. Ranging from unique one-of-a-kind artisanal crafts to delicious homemade snacks, this is a great place to soak in the sun and take advantage of what the beach has to offer. Another shopping opportunity we found was the farmers market that happens Saturday mornings—offering up the quintessential home goods, organic products, food, fruits, veggies, and artisan products.

Eating

For restaurants, we loved the international eclectic vibe that this neighborhood has to offer. With flavors that span the gamut so everyone has options, it can be hard to choose. We recommend The Blue Shrimp Puerto Vallarta on Olas Altas 336. This charming seafood restaurant is located on the beach and its menu highlights the freshness of its ingredients. The open-air tropical vibe has tables in the sand and a menu with local favorites and international plates, making this a crowd-pleaser. Our favorites were the pasta and seafood dishes, especially the linguine a la Frutti del mare which showed off the richness and depth of this humble dish.

Nightlife

This neighborhood has one of the most dynamic nightlife in the city. The options are endless: karaoke bars, sports bars, clubs to dance in, beach bars, and the theater. One favorite was off the beaten path at Elixer Mixology Bar on Basilio Badillo 419. They are a fun, well-stocked bar with delicious cocktails and even charcuterie boards. Delicious from their libations to snacks, this is a winner for a night out. They elevate the mixology scene and bring forward innovative and unique concoctions. Another insider tip? On Thursdays, there is a funky DJ that has great music all evening making you want to dance.
