Lo de Marcos: Lo de Marcos Tianguis
The Lo de Marcos market is located in a charming open courtyard-style venue. It hosts many market stalls with unique items available to purchase. Just about anything is available to you. This market has good food, and live music for you and your family to enjoy. Shoppers will find handmade articles, Home-grown fruits and vegetables, handmade piñatas, hand-blown glass, and more all in a comfortable open-air market perfect for socializing. This Market is at every Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Luis Echeverria Street.
Nuevo Vallarta: Quiosco Artisanal Tianguis
You will find a small traditional plaza with the market every Saturday in the middle of big hotels, condos, and the Marina. A little slice of paradise that is packed with tons of unique products. This market is home to food, crafts, clothes, and live music, this is a fantastic place to check out. Located in the Marina Nuevo Vallarta in the Fraccionamiento Nautico Residencia district this market runs November through April from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Nuevo Vallarta: Riviera Farmer’s Market
This colorful market has been hosted every Winter Season in the parking lot of the Nuevo Vallarta Business Center. Visitors will find a delicious assortment of jewelry, clothes, artisanal bread, fresh coconuts, cultivated exotic flowers, vegetables, and both fresh and dried pasta. There’s also live music and a great family atmosphere—all set against the backdrop of the spectacular Marina Vallarta. It runs every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Bucerias: Farmers Market And The Bucerias Art Walk
There are two tianguis held in Bucerias, one in the parking lot of La Comer grocery store and the other on Lazaro Cardenas Street. On Wednesdays there is the farmers market and, on Thursday evenings from November through April is the Bucerias Art Walk. The first offers traditional and gourmet Mexican specialties: gourmet food, arts and crafts, leather goods, and more. It is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Art Walk consists of a selection of galleries that open their doors from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Every week there are around 17 participating galleries, and some artists are on-hand creating their masterpieces right in front of visitors.
La Cruz de Huanacaxtle: La Cruz Market
The La Cruz Market offers a large variety of regional artisanal products. Located in the Marina Riviera next to the Mercado del Mar, you can browse rows of stalls selling various handmade products, organic fruit and vegetables, cheeses, cured meats, traditional clothing, and much more. It is a great place to spend a couple of hours. Open on Sundays between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. November through April.
Sayulita: Mercado del Pueblo
This tianguis gives small family growers a space to sell their wares and produce. It’s only open during the Winter Season—from November through April—on Revolucion Street. Visitors will find an extensive variety of organic products, dairy, bread, baked goods, natural pet food, soaps, lotions, and more. Open Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
San Pancho: Mercado del Sol
The market opens during the Winter Season on Tuesdays, selling a varied choice of fruits and vegetables, home-cooked food, art objects, and other articles made by the residents themselves and features like music. It’s open from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the charming Plaza del Sol.
Rincon de Guayabitos: Guayabitos Market
Here you will find a variety of personalized silver jewelry, pottery, bedclothes, Talavera pottery, plates, and sinks, glassware, Huichol art, and just about anything else you’re looking for. The market at Guayabitos takes place every Monday at the Main Plaza from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. November through March
La Peñita de Jaltemba: La Peñita Market
This coastal village is home to one of the biggest and oldest tianguis in the Riviera Nayarit. This is the ideal place for buying silver jewelry, bedclothes and tablecloths, glassware, Talavera dishes, Huichol artwork, and rugs from Oaxaca. Shoppers will also find fresh fruit and vegetables, homemade bread, and locally produced honey and coffee. While this tianguis is open year-round, many of the artisans do not participate during the summer months. The La Peñita de Jaltemba tianguis is open every Thursday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Chacala: Chacala Cultural Market
Visitors can begin their day with a stroll through the market which is located in the village plaza. Shop for food, art, arts and crafts, traditional candy, organic products, and fresh vegetables. The Chacala Cultural Market opens towards the end of November and remains open through March, setting up every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
