Casa Angel in Sayulita was designed by Miguel Valverde, a well known Mexican Architect whose work has been featured in Houses of the Pacific Coast. And what a setting! The expansive ocean view includes a long stretch of rugged coastline, the palm-lined beach, as well as the lagoon where the fishermen of Sayulita moor their boats. On the land side, Casa Angel sits directly beside a wild and completely undeveloped jungle canyon. The ocean breezes are nearly constant, and you can fall to sleep to the gentle sound of waves breaking on the shore. At night, the lights of Sayulita glitter below. The sunsets are magnificent, and in every room are large wooden doors and windows, which fold open to create an airy indoor/outdoor lifestyle perfect for the tropics.
This wonderful home features three totally separate, private bedrooms with adjoining baths. The upstairs Master Bedroom is ringed with a flower box filled with flowers. The other upstairs white bedroom has a beautiful view of the water. The downstairs bedroom opens directly onto the patio and pool, and not only has a gorgeous ocean view, but looks out as well into the wild jungle canyon.
Casa Angel offers luxury furnishings throughout. In the Master Bedroom you will find fine hardwood furniture from Malaysia, and in the downstairs bedroom, a beautiful white four poster bed with a canopy. The white room has locally made furnishing and art work. Curvy wrought iron outdoor chairs and a marble table allow you to eat outdoors in style, while chaise lounges and chairs imported from the U.S make you comfortable around the pool.
The kitchen counters and the patio are crafted of a beautiful mango colored local rock called Tekul. The new furnishings in the living room and updated kitchen makes for wonderful entertaining.
